Beans to Minds

A pilot project that aimed to provide mental health and wellness support to 39 Colombian women coffee farmers that participated in the creation of the book We Belong by Lucia Bawot.

The pilot included before-and-after interviews, two one-on-one virtual therapy sessions, and two wellness virtual group workshops.

Lucia Bawot the author of We Belong found out after spending so much time with these women and engaging in intimate conversations that most of them haven't had a chance to speak, be heard, process, and heal past and current traumatic and difficult life experiences, and are finding it hard to navigate life with no tools.

So, as a true believer and advocate for mental health, she decided to donate 100% of the earnings from the book sales during her four book launch events to create & manage Beans to Minds. Finally, she launched a donation campaign where she collected the remaining funds needed for this first pilot.
